The Great Art(ology) Art Giveaway

Hey friends! It's time for The Great Art(ology) Art Giveaway here at the gallery!

For the past year and a half the seven of us here at Art(ology) have been blessed beyond measure at the outpouring of love and support for our friends, family, and customers. To acknowledge that gratitude and give back a little bit of art love, Friday June 8 at the end of our Artwalk, we will draw one name to win this gift basket valued at $325!

There is no cost, no catch, we simply want to say a huge THANK YOU for helping make Art(ology) such a wonderful artist co-op! To enter, just email us your name and snail mail address to artologyinc@gmail.com and put in the title "Gift Basket". If you attend Artwalk this Friday evening, and we sure hope you do, you can enter in person there as well!

The basket contains an Agate necklace from Marsha Sutton,  whimsical earrings and an original Mardi Gras painting by Gail Rancier Wilson, a print of her painted Fried Oyster Recipe and Radish painting notecard from Michelle Leech, two original collages and a print of the local Krispy Kreme on Govt. that recently closed by Ardith Goodwin, a handmade book by Susan Wertelecki, a handmade purse and watercolor notecards by Claire Noojin, and a print by Maria Robinson of Azaleas which Mobile is quite known for as well as a yummy Tyler Candle.

We have great things in store for us in the coming months including the coming of online sales as well! We hope you will share this great event with your friends and family so they might enter too!

Remember: Just email us your snail mail address, name, and email to: ARTOLOGYINC@GMAIL.COM!!

Maria Spies Berry Bowls

Maria Spies, one of our guests artists, creates beautiful stoneware pottery. Here is an image of her popular Berry Bowl, which is perfect for fresh, washed produce because the water drains through tiny holes in the bottom of the bowl. This would make a great gift for Mother's Day which is coming up soon! If you are coming out to celebrate Earth Day this Sunday at Cathedral Square come across the street and see us! We will be open from 11-2.

You can view more of Maria Spies pottery at her website HERE

Get Your Silly On!

Gail Rancier Wilson is known for her extraordinary abstracts on large canvases and her stunning jewelry but many also know her as the queen of "Silly Boards" at Art(ology). These boards are painted in whimsical themes on wood panels and are sealed  so they can be hung inside or out.  Be it Cheshire Cats with Piano Hinged Teeth, Big Girl Bead Boards for Mardi Gras, or Seasonal Boards there is always a board to fit the mood. Here are two of the best sellers, her Silly Fish and Cupcakes. These boards are usually in the size range of 16" by 16" or 16" by 20" and sell between $30-$40. Stop in to Art(ology) and get your SILLY on!
